I will not be leading this ride from the Chevron at I-80 and Madison as I will be leading the escort from Kelseyville (Clearlake area).  I'm departing my house at 0345hrs, so please head to Chevron in Dixon if you want to honor our fallen hero. 

The family of US Army Veteran Maynard Arthur have requested us to escort the cremated remains and family to the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery and to stand a flag line in his honor at his memorial service on Wednesday May 12, 2021. The PGR are honored to stand for this Veteran.
Maynard served from 1953-1976 in the US Army, where he served 3 tours in Vietnam. His primary MOS was Area Communications Chief and his secondary MOS was Infantry Operations & Intelligence Specialist.
He received the following decorations. 1. National Defense Service Medal w/ 1st Oak leaf cluster 2. Good Conduct Medal (6th award) 3. Bronze Star w/ 2nd oak leaf clusters 4. Received five overseas service bars. 5. Army Commendation w/ 1st oak leaf cluster 6. Armed Forces Honor Medal 2nd class. 7. Meritorious Unit Commendation w/ 1st oak leaf cluster 8. Vietnam Service Medal. 9. Meritorious Service Medal. 10. Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal

We will proceed to the committal shelter when cleared by the cemetery staff and stand a flag line for Maynard and his guests arrival at the shelter we will remain in place until the inurnment services are complete, after which we will quietly depart

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome If you do not ride you are encouraged to attend in your car. Remember to bring your 3x5 American Flags. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area and you will be briefed there.
