We’ll have a couple of Chevron stops (one in Elk Grove, the 2nd in Rio Vista). Our 3rd stop, at about 11:00 will be at the Stanley Lane Smokehouse in Napa. From there, we make a gas stop in Petaluma just before lunch at Sax’s Joint, about 12:15 p.m. After lunch, its about a 40-minute ride to the Bodega Harbor Inn. We should get to the hotel at about 2:30. Dinner will be OYO but we may organize something at the last minute.
Ride Classification: 2b – Route is greater than 100 miles but less than 300 miles and is 3 to 8 hours in duration. Route is more difficult due to poor road conditions and/or tight corners and steep grades – suitable for experienced intermediate riders.
Saturday, after breakfast, we’ll ride down the coast on Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) to the Point Reyes Lighthouse.

Bring your warm gear; Bodega Bay and the coast are cold in the mornings and evenings!

We (Johnny and Perry) are purchasing Saturday's breakfast and Saturday's dinner in bulk to help drive our food costs down and make for a fun kitchen/meal preparation time. The amount we each need to reimburse Johnny and Perry is being determined...
Point Reyes has no cost to enter the lighthouse grounds. It is however, a long, uphill (0.5 mile) walk to the lighthouse lookout, so bring your walking/hiking shoes. If you are very adventurous, there is an additional 308 steps down (and later up) to the actual lighthouse.
