Details
Hey HOGsters... Here is our second trip to a surreal Nevada State Park with an extraterrestrial landscape. The Valley of Fire, East of Las Vegas. (see the front cover of HOG magazine # 029 and the associated article for a preview). and on the way home, we'll ride through the Lake Mead Rec Area created by the Hoover Dam and who knows, maybe a Ghost town or two. Here's the plan:

We'll hook up at Mel's Diner near the shop on Friday 5/20 at 8:30 for a KSU departure of 9:30. From there it's over monitor pass to 395 to Lone Pine for the first night. Saturday, 5/21 we ride to Overton NV., just East of Las Vegas for the second night. The next day, we'll ride through the park and then through the Lake Mead Rec. Area. We'll pick up I-15 west with maybe a stop at a ghost town. The third and last night on the road is in beautiful downtown Mojave, when we'll have "moon barking" contests in the parking lot to see who can get the neighborhood dogs riled up. This route has been laid out to cover ~ 300 miles a day, except for the last day, that's a little longer. Round trip is just a little over 1300 miles. If you want new roads, there will be a pile of them :)

Here are the Hotels and the Dates we plan to stay there: (Call early... You can always cancel if stuff happens later)
