Description:
This ride will be early so that we will beat the heat that will come later in the day. This morning ride takes us through farmlands to the north (including going over the largest train switching yard east of St. Louis) then up into the foothills, then back down to Rocklin for a late breakfast/early lunch at Granite Rock Grill in Rocklin.

This ride will be on roads that pass by large farms that have lots of waterfowl milling about. On some parts of the ride, we will have great views of the Sacramento Valley below us and the snow-capped mountains above us. We will also pass by high mountain lakes and meadows.
