Ride to Death Valley & San Simeon
3 night overnighter. Let’s Ride!!

Itinerary:
Fri. 7:30 a.m. we’ll meet up for breakfast @ Mel’s Diner, 13399 Folsom Blvd, KSU @ 8:30’ish.
Route: Hwy 50/Fresh Pond/Hwy 89/Hwy 88/Monitor Pass/US395/Lake Topaz gas stop/& Bridgeport for lunch @ the Burger Barn. We’ll get to Lone Pine near dusk.

Saturday: After breakfast we’ll head into Death Valley Nat Park where we’ll enjoy sights in Ryolite/the Badlands/Artists Pallet and lunch in Furnace Creek. After returning to the Portal Inn we’ll have dinner & social time.

Sunday: Breakfast in town followed by a ride thru the famous Alabama Hills, site of many early Tinseltown Westerns. From there we’ll take US395/Hwy 178/Hwy 46/Hwy 1 North to San Simeon, stopping to partake in Cambria’s Annual Scare Crow Festival. Dinner in San Simeon.

Monday: Hotel provides a continental breakfast or on your own. We’ll leave about 8:00 a.m. heading up scenic Hwy 1 to Moss Landing for a great lunch @ our fav “Phil’s Seafood” before heading home via Pacheco Pass & I-5.
Total mileage for this ride is 1,228. Total saddle time approximately 24hrs
