Hi HOGsters,

This year the North Coast Ride will be a bit different than last. I selected a route that traverses friendlier roads to get us to the coast.

We'll meet up at Mel's Diner on Folsom Blvd near the shop at 8:00 for breakfast, departing at 9:00.

Lunch is at the Aztec Grille in Weaverville. We'll get to the coast via Hwy 299 with a break or two along the way.

First night is at the Redwood River Walk Hotel motel in Fortuna with dinner at the Eel River Brewing Co.

Phone number for the River Walk is (707) 725-5500.

The day ride on Saturday will be similar to what we have done in the past...This year, Breakfast will be at the Samoa Cookhouse on Samoa Island. Excellent, all you can eat family style food good for at least 200 miles.

We'll l do a U turn and head back south through the Redwoods to Fort Bragg for the second night at the Surf Motel and Gardens Motel in Fort Bragg.

Phone number for the Surf Motel is (707) 964-5361.

We are positioned for a bit shorter ride home than last year. We'll take Hwy 20 through Willits and Clear Lake with a stop in Lucerne at the Foster's Freeze for a fat free ice cream cone and maybe a sandwich.

Should be home before 5. Round trip is around 850 miles.

Call early for rooms as the coast is a busy place in the Fall
