Description:
This ride will take us through farmlands to the north (including going over the largest train switching yard east of St. Louis) then up into the foothills then back down to Rocklin for a late breakfast/early lunch at Granite Rock Grill in Rocklin.

This ride will be on roads that pass by large farms that have been recently harvested, lots of waterfowl milling about and trees that are showing off what is left of their Fall colors. On some parts of the ride, we will have great views of the Sacramento Valley below us and the snow-capped mountains above us. We will also pass by high mountain lakes and meadows.

Ride Rating - 1b – less than 100 miles, 1 to 3 hours duration with frequent stops. Route is more difficult perhaps due to poor road conditions and/or tight corners and steep grades – suitable for experienced intermediate riders
